This service is provided specifically for those in our community who are unable to afford counselling elsewhere. There is no other equivalent service available, at no cost, in this area. A large number of our clients may be experiencing difficulties such as domestic violence, mental health issues and unemployment, or they may come from a non-English speaking background.
The Inner West Counselling Service can assist clients in areas such as suicide prevention, depression and abuse related trauma, so that they may participate in the community in a way that enables them to address their difficulties.
Our counsellors are fully qualified in either psychology and/or counselling and have a wealth of experience from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.
